Community Groups

We desire to be a community of believers who regularly encourage one another. It was out of this desire that we began our weekday Community Groups. The book of Hebrews says that we are to “encourage one another day after day…so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:12-13). We all understand that sin lies to us and causes us to be hardened toward the things of God. And this text of Scripture shows us that God has given us fellowship with one another as a way to keep us from these effects of sin. We see this ministry as a practical way to strengthen our fellowship with one another and walk faithfully with our Lord. But there’s more. God calls believers to be a community that loves one another. We want to be a church with members that develop strong ties with one another and practically care for each other. And weekday community groups provide the platform for this as well.

What to expect

We generally meet in homes Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings for about an hour to sing, pray, and dig into Scripture together and share life together. We cover a portion of Scripture the same way in all the groups, going over observations, exposition, and implications relative to the biblical text. Our community groups are open to all who join us for worship on Sundays. For more details, please speak to one of our leaders or members.
