King Nebuchadnezzar has a large golden idol built and sends out a command for all to worship to it. Daniel’s friends disobey this, knowing that they must serve and worship God alone. The anger of the king is ignited, and they are punished by being cast into the hot furnace - but, God delivers them from the king’s wrath without any sign of damage or harm, even sending someone to be with them among the flames. King Nebuchadnezzar and his officials witnesses this, seeing that the one true God has indeed shown Daniel’s friends trust and obedience in Him to be right.
